U-Design is a specialized manufacture of kitchen, bath and closet components that offers products and services to different channels in the industry.  With more than 42 years in business,  the spirit of change has been the constant driving force behind Unity General Distributors, Inc. (u-Design).  We are driven by change to be better,  to creat inspiring & quality products and to be responsive to our industry and customers.

Our Products are designed to the highest standards and proudly produce in the USA.  We focus on modern and technologically advances in melamine panels and finishes under which we produce all our doors and drawer fronts in house with most advanced quality accessories and hardware from the best producers worldwide.  This is our strategy to secure consistent quality standards and provide long-term satisfaction to our customers.

Services

We believe a product is only good as the service that supports it.  We spend a lot of time developing processes and policies in order to make sure our customers are more than satisfied with our services.  The assistance we provide can be divided into three categories: Material support, order processing and customer services.  Marketing materials are constantly being developed and distributed to help our customers educate their clientele.  We understand that there are the sales tools required to successfully sell our products in our customers's showrooms.  We have a great team of experienced cabinet professionals ready to hear any concerns and answer all possible questions.  Most important we listen to the input our customers give us and we make sure suggestions are addressed as we continually seek ways to improve our services.

Commercial Terms & Conditions

Open an Account

Send a request to oruso@u-designusa.com or call #786-655-8368.  You will be assigned on of our sales representatives,  who will help you through the process of opening your account and establish the pricing.  

Ordering

You can place an order by detailed email your sales representative.  Once the order is in process,  no changes can be made.  Additional items can be processed as a new order.  No cancellations of orders will be accepted once order is confirmed and will be charged in full.  All flat pack orders are processed in 1-business day,  

Modifications

A big number of modifications are available including decrease width,  height and depths.  A flat charge is added per cabinet for these modifications.  Modifications exempt the entire order from normal lead times and the full payment must be received prior to the start of any modifications.  

Payment

Full payment is required before processing an order.  Payment can be made by case, check, credit card or debit card.  

Shipping & Delivery 

The Shipping charges must be paid for when your order is placed,  full truckloads subject to additional fees.  A tracking number will be emailed the day the order has shipped.  All destinations must be tractor trailer accessible,  or limited access fees will be applied up to $150.00 and driver is only responsible for placing the pallet on the ground.  The shipping charges cover one delivery attempt.  The customer is reponsible for any additional shipping and handling charges for delivery failures due to customer's circumstances.  A responsible party must be present to inspect, inventory and sign upon delivery.  All orders require signed acknowledgement upon delivery.  If the number of pallets delivered does not match the number listed on BOL a careful inspection of packaging condition is vital for freight claims purpose.  Even if you are not sure the contents inside damage due to the exterior's condition,  please indicate on the BOL.  Do no reject damaged items.  Orders not picked up within 5 business days will be subject to a storage charge of $25 per pallet per day.  Orders not pick up within 10 days will be subject to a storage charges and additional re-stocking fees of 20%

Missing or damaged items

Freight claims obvious damage or shortage can only be accepted when indicated on bill of lading.  All damages must be documented and reported upon opening the boxes.  Items that have been assembled or installed cannot be claimed as damaged.  No labor cost accrued during the installation of any product is covered.  Freight damaged claims must be communicated within 5 business days from delivery date.  W provide customers with a claim form mandatory fields;  Order Number, Buyer's name, shipping address, brief Description of damages or shortage including item numbers or parts and pictures of the damage.  No claims will be allowed without proper paperwork.  Upon Receipt of the damaged claim,  we will review the request within a maximum of 2 working days.

Return and Replacement

All returns must be authorized prior to return shipment.  For authorization please send a email request to oruso@u-designusa.com.  Returns must be received within 30 days of purchase.  All items must be returned in original, unopened packaging;  therefore no returns on assembled cabinets will be accepted.  Qualifying returns will incur a 20% Restocking fee.  The Customer is responsible for setting up all return shipments.  Any return product deemed unsellable will not receive credit.

FAQ

Construction

Are the cabinets strong enough to support a granite top?

Our HYDROBOX or SUPREMEBOX cabinets construction ensures the strength required to support granite, concrete or any other countertop material that you may select.  No additional cabinet reinforcement is required.

Are the HYDROBOX cabinets water proof?

Our HYDROBOX cabinets are water resistant,  which means that under normal use conditions they have a higher level of resistance to water and humidity that standard melamine or plywood cabinets

Ordering

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Discover and ApplePay), Check, Cash and Paypal

Do you offer credit terms?

We currently do not offer any sort of credit terms to our customers.  All orders must be paid in full before order processing.

What is your return policy?

We do accept returns under certain circumstances.  Please see the "Returns and Replacements" section of our Terms & Conditions page for details.

Delivery

How do you ship you cabinetry?

Most ordes will be shipped on a pallet via LTL (Less than a Truck Load) carrier.  Some small items may ship via Fed Ex.

What if my delivery includes damaged cabinets?

Please document the damage with the freight company upon delivery and notify us immediately by emailing oruso@u-designusa.com.  All damaged pieces will be replaced in a timely manner.  High Resolution pictures of damaged items are very helpful in damage assessment.

Warranty

Unity General Distributors, Inc. (u-Design) warrants manufacturing defects of our cabinetry, doors, drawer fronts and hardware for a period of five (5) years,  under normal conditions of use.  The warranty period begins from date of purchase (proof of purchase is required).  The warranty is non transferable and only applicable to the product used for residential purpose.  Representaives of Unity General Distributors, Inc. do not have the authority to change or enlarge this warranty.

The Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damaged or defects caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, or lack of necessary maintenance;  nor does it cover alterations, modifications, improper installations, improper handling / storage,  environment conditions,  nor any labor expenses.  Unity General Distributors may elect to repair or replace with a functionally equivalent product,  any of the covered items by this warranty.  Some replacement parts are subject to availability and may differ from original parts.  Return of defective product may be required for replacement to be issued.  Repair parts or replacement parts are at the expense of Unity General Distributors, Inc. but customers shall bear all other expenses.  Thses expenses may include,  but no limited to, cost of removal and re-installation of product,  labor expenses, etc.  Environment factors, including but not limited to artificial / natural light, moisture, cleaners, smoke, etc. may cause the darkening or mellowing of a cabinet over time is a natural process and can be expected.  This warranty does not cover the natural aging or darkening / mellowing of the products.  This Warranty is valid only in the United States of America and Canada and is not transferable.  All warranties are limited in duration to the shorter of the period or the period this warranty.  To the extent permitted by law,  this warranty excludes special, incidental,  or consequential damages.  Some stated do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long implied warranty lasts,  so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.   This warranty gives you specific legal rights;  you may have other rights,  which vary from state to state.  To exercise this warranty,   please contact us by sending a report in writing to oruso@u-designusa.com with detailed description of the defects claimed and include proof of purchase.
